Armstead in Strief Role (Jumbo TE) during SB yr

I really could see Payton revive the jumbo TE set for Armstead to "get his feet wet" in the NFL in year one. His skill set would fit this perfectly and it would allow him to transition well into NFL.
Payton used this formation a ton in the SB yr and we had an excellent balanced attack.

Look it will take some time for Armstead to transition form blocking low end CFB talent to the best of the best. Just saying the staff could use what he does best and transition him into his more permanent position. It worked well with Strief.

Yeah I have feeling either Armistead or Brown will be in that role, whoever doesn't win the starting LT spot.

This is an interesting thought. The guy runs a 4.71 and benched 225 31 times..
