NFL Draft Day 3: Who do you want?

Still some interesting names on the board I didn't think would be around. I really don't have one position I want to see them draft b/c I think they killed it and addressed 2 needs with top level talent yesterday. All else is a coup at this point IMO.
So by position, here are a few prospects still avaialable and my choice in bold if we went that direction (assuming they are available at the pick.) Please feel free to add your own b/c I'm sure there are tons more that I don't know about that others would like to select:
QB
Wilson, Arky
Barkley, USC
Nassib, Syracuse
Bray, Tennesse
Klein, KSU
Renfree, Duke
Jones, OU
Scott, Arizona
1st round grade. Great value. If nothing else, let him get in for mop up duty and trade for a higher pick in the future since that's the chic thing these days
RB
Ellington, Clemson
Lattimore, USCe
Gillislee, UF
Barner, Oregon
Taylor, Stanford
Franklin, UCLA
I couldn't decide, but I think both are speedsters with big play ability. Always fun to see Drew with more weapons in this offense
WR
Patton, LATech
Rogers, Tennessee
King, UGA
Swope, TAMU
Stills, OU
Bumphis, MSST
Sheppard, LSU
Mellette, Elon
I wouldn't mind any of these guys but I think Rogers had 1st round talent but just didn't make the most of it. Sleeper: Bumphis. More often than not he was one of the best players on the field
O-line
Fragel, OSU
Jones, Bama
Quessenberry, SJST
Nixon, UF
Faulk, LSU
I'm not real familiar with the O-linemen. I'll go Jones from Bama. He can play center or either guard position and we know Payton likes versatility. He just used a first round pick on it...
D-line
Williams, Bama
Okafor, Tejas
Gholston, MSU
Kruger, Utah
Edwards, LSU
Not sure how he really fits in our system but he got high grades prior to his senior year and maybe even after. Another big body to rotate at D-end possibly?
LB
Thomas, Stanford
Mauti, Penn St
Porter, TAMU
Pough, Howard
Washington, UGA
Jenkins, UF
Johnson, Bama
Klein, Iowa St
Holloman, USCe
Toughest decision for me. I like Porter, Thomas, Washington, all of these guys really. I was leaning Washington b/c of his "measureables" and he had a good showing at the combine and senior bowl, plus my UGA buddy has been in my ear about him. In the end I flipped a coin and chose Porter. I'd like any of these guys though
CB
Webb, W&M
Simon, LSU
Commings, UGA
Reid, FSU
Poyer, Oregon St
Hawthorne, Illinois
I went with Simon for one reason. He's the tallest
Other guys on here came return kicks, but I don't want to use a pick just for a specialist. We can get those all day in UDFA or even our current roster
S
Not even going to list safeties. If you want one, name him. Rambo is the only name I know on the list TBH

Barrett jones and Gerald hodges

We don't need a QB this year so don't want to burn one of our 2 remaining picks. I'd also prefer to look for UDFA RB's after the draft. I like Jones on the O-line because of versatility. More than anything though I'd like to see us get a WR with some speed and length; not sure if there's anyone that fits that bill at this point though.
edt: Oh, and OLB would be good too.

Wouldn't hurt my feelings if they got a QB. I don't know why you guys are happy with Luke McCown or Seneca Wallace. That's awful awful QB depth. That's actually 0 depth.

Rogers - WR
Fragel - OL
Faulk - OL
Simon - CB Needs to improve more though.
Rambo - S
I'd be happy with any of these guys.

Do you seriously think we're remotely envisioning either of those guys getting a single snap during the regular season?

I agree with LB and WR. Some good ones to be had. Those are the two "need" positions I'd like to see addressed. This list is just a "what if they choose this position" type thing
I'm not saying we NEED a QB. It wouldn't break my heart if the took one. Some really good QBs left on the board. You never see this much depth at QB fall this far. Only 3 QBs taken so far? Gonna be a run on them soon I'd imagine

nobody does. that's why they're backups. if they want to start grooming somone for LAD i'm fine with that

Lattimore would be intriguing Dont know how long he'll hang around

So if the Saints take a QB this year, and Brees goes down, you would feel much more comfortable with a rookie? Do you think the Saints would win any games if Brees went down?
Posted on 4/27/13 at 9:40 am to kclsufan
...what if Brees gets hurt?
He had a knee issue a couple seasons ago, didn't he? He's getting older and he's not superman (I do have a mancrush on him so I'm not saying I don't have a black and gold superman cape with the #9 on it. Wait, what?).
With these guys that have fallen, I don't see a reason why you can't take a flier on any of them.
This late in the game, Id def take Nassib, Wilson, or Barkely

Personally I would really like Tyler Wilson. He just seems like a future star to me. The trainwreck season for Arky really hurt him and that wasnt on him!

My only concern is we were short a pick coming into the draft thanks to Fuhrer Goodell and had too many other needs. But you make a good point-given the quality of QB's there may be someone who doesn't get drafted who would love to play for SP and the Saints. Our backup situation is pretty open right now.

If they're capable of learning the play book, if prefer them over the ones that are there now. The ones that are there now that have a one year deal. Give the rookie some experience and keep him around. None of them would win games anyway.
This is the worst depth I remember the Saints having in a long time

Drafting qbs and grooming would add tremendus short term and long term value to our club

1000% agreed. I like Nassib too.
Look at Wilson's numbers when he played for an offensive mind coach. He was VERY efficient. Not a bad arm. Give him some experience and go from there

I would be all for drafting Matt Barkley.
The guy's idol is Drew Brees and he even said in interviews that he tries to model his game after him. (preparation, footwork, throwing motion).

yeah, that's my line of thinking. all of those guys had 1st round projections at one time or another as recently as this past season. by the time you get to round 5 you aren't necessarily looking for a player that will come in and do much first year anyhow. if you get a 5th rounder that makes the team that's a win IMO. to get a first round talent at qb in round 5 would be a steal.
damn. i think i just talked myself in to wanting a qb if one is there
Posted on 4/27/13 at 9:44 am to Prominentwon
If I had to pick a QB it'd probably be Wilson. But I want someone who's mentally fast enough to know the playbook and make fast reads.
Posted on 4/27/13 at 9:45 am to Chad504boy
I agree with Tyler Wilson. Would love to see him with the Saints. Probably the most likely one to last through round 4 into round 5 out of the top remaining QBs.
Would still like to see them go after an OLB or ILB.
