LSU is "Defense U." 6 defenders picked in the first 3 rounds. Wow!!!

Especially with players not understanding how to take plays off properly. Miles is gonna have to coach 'em up on that big time.

. Taking plays off I hope by that you mean taking players out of the game when there tired. We don't need any more of that Sam Montgomery crap playing to the competition bull $hit.

If offense scores more points and controls the clock more it may not be bad at all. The defense kept the games close last year.

I have a feeling our defense will be beast next year. We'll barely miss a beat IMO.

I've never said that before. I just really feel that way about our defense next year.

Defensive players drafted in first round:

LSU: 6.
Entire Big Ten conference: 7.

I think most people are aware of our problem on Defense next year. We are going to have to bow up & play! The first 3 games should bring the defense closer to jell before we hit the meat of the season. Although Tcu will not be easy.

I'll take the effort/enthusiasm of new blood. All that talent was looking ahead to April 2013. Particularly, after they mentally checked out after Bama. Gimme solid D with solid O versus incredible D and below average O. If we get through UGA, our young guys will mature and gel by crunch time. Were being doubted. We're under the radar. Talent + Chavis, I'll take that. Who knows what the newbies will show when they arrive in August.

You damn right DBU. Hopefully it can be LBU with Sheppard and Riley already starting. We get Minter, Sam, an Mingo starting then it's all assured.

For LSU I think our 1st team defense is legit and secondary will get better because of maturation. LB crew has depth at the position so jo worries, DL is the worry part after the starting four. We have either a severe drop in talent, or very little to no experience after the starters.

Next year we will be loaded on defense though with depth and I mean quaility depth.

I just don't want to get my hopes up on the defense next year. We lost more than we ever have before
