the Pelicans or the Lakers?
the Pels have their lottery pick, last year's #1 pick, a well-regarded coach, and a supporting cast, just needing one more scorer, but none of them might be that good
the Lakers are the Lakers, but Kobe might not be Kobe again, you might lose Howard, the other guys suck... but then again you might keep Howard, Kobe might be Kobe, find a new coach bc this one isn't working, etc.

But yeah, Lakers are pretty tied up contract wise. It is gonna be a big offseason for them.

Pelicans only because Davis seems like the kind of dude that won't leave for a big market. Neither team is making the playoffs the next 2 years though

Dwight ain't resigning with the Lakers.

It's possible, but i wouldn't rule it out.

I'll go Lakers because if any current pelicans become elite top 5-10 players, they'll probably be playing for the Lakers in 4 years.

What makes you say this?

Hornets/Pelicans haven't proven they're capable of building around a star. I'll take the team with the money and appeal to big name players every time.

you mean Dell Demps... i'd say we built around Chris Paul

except you might be losing one big name and the other one might never be the same...

Is this a serious question?

The Lakers will never be without a big name superstar for very long. That's just how the league works
Lakers are the answer no matter the circumstance

Always the lakers.
Love the pelicans but lets be honest. The name alone will draw tons of talent to LA.

They gave Paul a decent supporting cast for one season and then peaked in the conference semis. They've got to aim higher than that.

It's LA. It's the Lakers. They'll attract plenty other big names in the future. God forbid they have a rebuilding year or two in the meantime.
