I would love to see this movie made but I am not sure that many of the Judge's actions can be put on film. I also wonder who could play the Judge as nobody comes to mind.

Tommy Lee Jones would make a great Glanton

Not sure who could play the kid or the Judge.

Too old. Glanton was a young man.

Judge Holden needs to be someone physically imposing.

I must assume you are joking. The Judge was a 400lb giant hairless man. I don't think even CGI can pull that off with DiCaprio.

Ray Stevenson or Ralph Fiennes.

I don't remember that in the book. I assumed he was a grisled old leader as he was in command. I know he was a real person but I am going exclusively off of details provided in the book.

That could work. A black guy could pull of the Judge but Elba would have to pork up considerably. Remember the Judge was 6'5 or so and 400lbs of fat although extremely strong. I imagine a super heavyweight powerlifting looking Judge but I don't know any great actors with that look. John Goodman might be able to pull it off but I don't know if he has the acting chops. Whoever plays the Judge will make or break this movie.

I don't remember if his age was stated in the book, but the real Glanton died at age 29.
