Old-style Baton Rouge Restaurants

When I say "old-style" I'm referring to restaurants that have been around for a long time and haven't updated, thus making you feel like you've stepped through a time machine when you go in. Fleur de Lis is a prime example; I've also been told that El Rio Grande is another one (and I plan on trying it this weekend). Are there any others in the area that I'm overlooking?

Crawford's
Mason's
Pinetta's
Roberto's
ETA: old style can be good or bad depending on the place, setting, and atmosphere.

From the outside, Rama looks like a bathroom at a BREC park.

Pastime and Pinetta's probably fit the bill.

Robertos is an old building, not an old restaurant or an old style restaurant. If you consider it old, then the Chimes is ancient by your own standards.

I really don't consider Mason's to be old-style at all. It's a modern place.
Heck, when I go to Fleur de Lis, I feel like I'm in the 70s.
Good calls on RAMA and Pinetta's, though...

The interiors are different. Chimes is much more modern on the inside.

Modern? Have you been inside? That place is in desperate need of a make-over.

The George's on O'neal is not a going back in time kind of place.
It's just a nasty smelly shite-hole of a place.

I guess I'm talking about places that have been around 30, 40, or even more years that haven't changed. George's plain sucks, so I won't even eat there. Same with Pastime. Need to check out Jay's on Govt. The one on Sherwood is

Have you ever heard of a thing called atmospere in a restaurant, as your posts seem to scream NO. What is ole school to you in NOLA?

That's what makes their food consistent.
