I want to plan some more boils this year, but don't want to get stuck without being able to find crawfish. When do you expect the season to taper off? Thanks.

Don't they usually go until around July 4th?

The STL alumni group get them the last week of May every year for a clue.

boil very often probably through June for sure depending on if the price falls more. if the price falls more farmers lose interest.

How low is it getting? I saw $1.49 around here this week.

With the Corp putting water in the basin and the late cool fronts. I expect there will plenty of good spillway crawfish into August this year.

Last week I got 10 lbs at 2.79/lb boiled. I don't think they'll be lasting much longer. I'd say probaby another month, month and a half at most

I bought a sack in Pierre Part Sunday and the fisherman told me the crawfish are starting to run good. With the water coming from the midwest floods he expects crawfish to run into mid summer.

Normal would be a run to mid or late June...I'd expect that.

Miss Riv is going to peak 6" below flood stage in early/mid May. Basin should have plenty of water even without them opening it up the extra 3%.

Good news for basin crawfish.

Good news for everyone, except maybe the coastal marshes.
