National Seeds

Saw this on another board and thought it was interesting.
SEBaseball has the following eight as the national seeds.
North Carolina
LSU
Virginia
Vanderbilt
Cal State Fullerton
Oregon State
NC State
Oregon
Most of us have no argument as of now, but Mississippi State, Florida State and possibly South Carolina (because of opportunity, LSU will take care of that this weekend), should be in the discussion.
Looking at these six resumes blindly, pick three to be national seeds. Try not to cheat and look them up until you pick, I think you'll be surprised.
Team 1: 33-10, 21st SOS, 13-8 vs Top 50, 18-0 vs 101+
Team 2: 31-8, 30th SOS, 5-5 vs. Top 50, 17-2 vs. 101+
Team 3: 32-9, 27th SOS, 10-9 vs. Top 50, 15-0 vs. 101+
Team 4: 30-10, 33rd SOS, 7-9 vs. Top 50, 17-1 vs. 101+
Team 5: 33-10, 35th SOS, 13-6 vs. Top 50, 14-1 vs. 101+
Team 6: 31-11, 43rd SOS, 8-4 vs. Top 50, 15-3 vs. 101+
I picked 5, 1 and 3 in that order.
ETA: Reveal below
1 is Mississippi State
2 is Oregon State
3 is Florida State
4 is Oregon
5 is NC State
6 is South Carolina

5 - 1 - 3 seems correct to me as well.

3 ACC teams as National Seeds? When will they learn..
Trivia time. When was the last time the ACC won a National Championship in College Baseball?

When did this become a qualification for a national seed?

5-1-3 is acceptable, RPI is conveniently left out

It isn't. But the way the rankings love the ACC is just stupid showing their track history.

Yeah, but all are Top 15 in RPI. I thought it was interesting to look at it without the RPI - the important stuff is there.

Interesting. 6 is .750 vs. Top 50

FSU being swept by UVA hurts their chances, IMO.

Rpi is just as important as all the factors you listed, if not slightly more

Wake in 1959? Wasn't Miami playing baseball as an independent when they won theirs?

I'm not actually a Wake fan it just makes it easier to find my posts. And I was wrong. It was Wake in 1955.
