I think you've got the years a bit mixed up.
In 08, the Celtics won their only title with the Big 3 (Rondo was a rookie IIRC). They struggled with ATL, Cleveland, and Detroit a little bit. Despite all of that, they were the best team in the NBA, and it wasn't even close. Lebron was the only reason that series went to 7 games.
BTW that Game 7 duel between Lebron and Pierce to this day remains the best individual superstar duel I've seen in the NBA.
09 and 10, Brown (well Lebron disappeared against Boston in 10, but thats another story) blew it.

You're right.
But I stand by my point that the Celtics finally got healthy in 2010*
cause KG DESTROYED Jamison. And Rondo son'd Mo Williams. LeBron disappeared against the Celtics in game 5...
but still put up 27/10/7 in the series
His only REAL disappearing act imo was that Mavs series....Heat could be back to back champions right now if he was at least 80% of his normal self.
