Filet at St. Elmo's Steakhouse in downtown Indianapolis.

That's the only good thing about Indy.

Cowboy ribeye at Mr. John's, though surprisingly Tsunami in BR nailed the Sumo (bone-in) ribeye on Friday, merits mentioning...

Most surprising cut I had was the bone-in filet at La Boca, ribeye flavor in a lean cut...was weird but great...

Really good steaks I had out of town were at Smith & Wollensky in Miami and the Chophouse in Vegas, but I'd put the local ones above those

I'm a firm believer that you can get a good meal almost anywhere, but what makes it a great meal is having a story that makes it worth remembering.

I've eaten a lot of steaks that were probably "better", but I'm gonna go with the ribeye I ate at Harry Caray's in Chicago for sentimental reasons.

I had just graduated from boot camp in 2002, and it was the first time I had seen or spoken to my family in 2 months. Between finally having a decent meal, and being able to share that meal with my family, that's what made it the best for me.

Bone in filet at pappas steakhouse in houston topped with bone marrow.

I've had others that would have probably competed with that if i would have drank less before dinner.

My wife and I ate there last year. Left feeling empty, not only in the pocket book, but also in my stomach.

We didn't finish our meal, because it was overall, poor at best. Lobster Bisque had a horrible "fishy" taste and both steaks came out cold to the touch.

We let our waiter know and he offered a free dessert, which again, was poor at best.

Saw a lot of nice cars there and a lot of people who pretended to have a lot of money.

Sadly, the filet mignon at Carrabas.

I don't have the money for steaks. We had a gift card to Carrabas, and that's how I was able to order it.

Also suprising one of the best steaks I have had was on the Carnival Legend's upcharge Steakhouse.

When I was in Afghanistan, Outback brought us all a bunch of Ribeye's, Shrimp and bloomin Onions for Christmas. About bunch of us volunteered to cook all the steaks. It was kind of cool seeing 20 or so soldiers cooking steaks on makeshift grills. That was a good day.

Not saying it was the best I have ever had, but I certainly remember it more than any other.
