I was fishing the other day in the middle of Toledo Bend and what do you know?

I found my mini 14 that had been lost in a boating accident a few months back!!

That being said, Im looking to get a new stock so my rifle can be modified a bit. Anybody have any experience with TAPCO or Angelfire stocks? How about optics. Mine were ruined in the accident so I need to get new optics.

You know what, just post pics of your mini 14/30. Lets talk about possible mods.

Imagine that! And I bet the metal held up great with zero corrosion...

My buddy has a TAPCO on his Mini 30. It's not too bad but it took a lot of filing the stock to make a magazine fit in the magwell. And I found the grip to be a little fat. Still, it was an improvement over the factory wood stock.

I have an ATI stock on my 10/22. It's collapsible and folding. A bit heavy but its really well put together and fit perfectly.

Whatever. The newer mini 14 models have a thicker barrel which improves accuracy and decreases the time the barrel heats up. It's a pretty good gun now.
