Makes no sense. Its not like Comedy Central can have that big of rating demands or few spots, half the network is old tosh.o episodes

Why do they cancel good shows?

It sucks that it's getting cancelled.

But if I had to guess, Futurama costs much more to make than their other shows. Basically, Futurama would have to pull much better ratings than something like Jeselnik Offensive to justify continuing to make new episodes.

Comedy Central is making deals with any standup comedian with a pulse right now and pumping out all sorts of short run series of varying formats. It's a much cheaper way to do things, and could still payoff big time for them.

Futurama had a good run. The newer episodes were good but they didn't have the magic the original episodes had.

Well if Comedy Central didn't have a year long wait between the last season and the next, it might do better

The worst Futurama is still high quality, so this is a sad day. Hope it finds another network and lives on

Maybe the Fox version of Adult Swim could pick them up. Makes a lot of sense too!

THIS

I HATE when networks do this shite b/c I never know when a show is coming back

I usually end up forgetting about stuff and watching it on NetFlix or DVD after the fact.

Yeah, since the move to Comedy Central, I haven't made much of an effort to watch, but I've been seeing some of the newer ones in syndication and they're still REALLY good. I'm going to have to catch up on Netflix, looks like they have two and a half seasons worth of the Comedy Central episodes.

Netflix should pick them up, with that and arrested development networks would be scared

If networls ever truely got scared of netflix, they would cut them off from their content

Maybe after The Cleveland Show is canceled in a few weeks they can make a pitch to bring Futurama back to Fox...probably not, but it's something to hope for.
