We did this about a month ago. Mine has changed a lot since then. Now approaching the draft, it would be interesting to get it up to date.

It's simple, list your Top 15 choices in order of preference. I'll total them up before Thursday. I'll start, add yours.

Eric Fisher
Joeckel
Jarvis Jones
Dion Jordan
Lotulelei
Lane Johnson
Shariff Floyd
Mingo
Xavier Rhodes
Milliner
Ansah
Werner
Richardson
Ogletree
Tavon Austin

2b= #3

No squeezing in more. I had to edit Carradine out last minute but I wanted him on the end of the list bad. I tried hard to put Cooper or Warmack for straight value but couldn't get them in either.

My opinion has changed, especially on Mingo. I think the top 3 OTs would help out the most from the start, but the potential and possible instant impact from an OLB intrigues me the most. I desperately want this defense to have a play-maker.

I'll also point out that it's kind of crazy that who many projected as possibilites at OLB/not real possibilities at OLB have flip-flopped. Jones and Mingo were considered basically unattainable, where as Jordan and Ansah were being looked at as potential draftees. This has obviously shifted.

_________________________________________________________

How I Rank Them:

Luke Joekel - Sure starter, excellent OT with great footwork. Would be set at the position for a very long time without worrying. Could improve the play of Brees.

Eric Fisher - Put he an Joekel as 1 A and 1 B. He's an immediate impact starter, yadda yadda. I rate him similarly to Joekel. He's a guarantee.

Jarvis Jones - Oddly enough, for a long time this guy was thought as basically no chance for the Saints to draft. Recent events has lead him to drop, and the fact that the Saints actually have a chance to land this guy gives me a major boner. He's a play-maker and something this defense needs. He tore up the best competition in college, and I think he absolutely has the potential to do so in the NFL.

Dion Jordan - While Jones, along with Mingo were looked at as "no legit chance of getting" OLBs, many on this board were looking at the possibility of either Jordan or Ansah. His stock climbed drastically and rightfully so, the guy is freakish. I'd love to have this guy. A lot of power and length.

Barkevious Mingo - I wasn't high on him at first, but after watching more film and observing just him in particular, my thoughts have changed. He's raw, but he has the potential to be scary good. He has a Pierre-Paul/Aldon Smith feel to him. I'm not sure if he could be quite on that level, but the potential is definitely there. He also has the build to add more to his frame.

Ziggy Ansah - Even more rawness than Mingo, but he's a freak specimen with so much athleticism. If he can pull it all together he will be an animal. Another guy I look at like Ansah is Margus Hunt, but he's projected as a late 1st to early 2nd rounder. Ansah was a guy many thought the Saints would have a chance at drafting before his stock climbed.

Lane Johnson - Right up there with the top two OTs, and easily could be rated just as high.

Star Louteleli - The only reason I have him higher than Floyd is because DT/Nose is a higher need than End, which is where Floyd fits, where I feel Jordan and Hicks could make some noise, along with Smith in a limited role. OLB and Nose are the most important spots of the 3-4, Star would be a great piece. I feel that Bunkley (Hicks could also play some NT) could man the nose position, but Star would be an upgrade.

Shariff Floyd - Outstanding, powerful lineman. But doesn't fit the need as much as the above players. He's a DT/DE, and would be used as an end in the 3-4 scheme. Would definitely be a good addition to the defensive line.

The rest:

Dee Milliner
Xavier Rhodes
Bjoern Werner
Alec Ogletree
Tavon Austin
Sheldon Richardson

_____________________

I agree with most who say that the big name OTs would immediately start and be upgrades over what we have, no question, but I feel that we do actually have enough there to suffice. The team could also bring in later draft picks to compete at OT. For OLB the team has 3 potential guys, but none proven. A pick here wouldn't be proven either, but 4 potential guys is better than 3, and at a position like OLB, which is arguably the most important of the 3-4, I'd like to better the odds.

I left Richardson off because I'm worried about him being out of position switching from a 4-3 to a 3-4. Do yall think this would stop us from taking him if he were to somehow slip past Carolina?

no. Apparently he projects pretty well as a 3-4 end

I was borderline on Richardson myself. But as said, I think he could be that good even as a 3-4DE.

If I dropped him I'd prolly move Carradine into my 15

11 list so far, please add yours if not in. It would provide an immediate guage for you to know what ST will think of the pick

Blues you may get more feedback if you edit thread title to include something like "submit your top 15 to help compile"
