Only 6 out of the top 25. I don't understand how the field for this event fluctuates so much. One of the bigger purses on tour as well.

2 years ago it was great, last year was pretty good too. Still gonna have a blast out there but the field this year is pretty underwhelming.

Eta: I think a lot has to do with the course. I have heard a lot of em hate it.

Yea, the course is a problem. I think the scheduling had something to do with it this year too. This event is 5th on the list for most guys over this 5 week period from The Masters to The Players Championship. So, if they're going to take a week off, it'll probably be this week.

weak field but scheduling doesnt help. Most big names take off before the big events. Next two weeks are quail and the players. Also heard players remarks about the course, not well liked. They enjoy the city the most.

Lots of pros think the course is a gimmick.

Doesnt stop them from playing Sawgrass, which is a gimmick as well.

Graeme and Luke Donald skipping this year really hurts the field.

Stricker not being there due to his lack of desire to play a full schedule stings.

It would be better if Zurich could be pre-Masters event rather than post... all the big names play Quail Hollow next week, then the Players, so Zurich gets the shaft.

This

Some of the most popular guys on tour will be there, along with Toms and the 14 year old Guan

Its a good field for a lower level event IMO
