For me, it should be like this.

- The goal is to select the FOUR BEST TEAMS. Not the four prettiest team, the four best marketable teams, or the four teams that beat so and so and this team didn't. The eye test has to be a factor.

- Undefeated teams in the SEC, Pac-12, Big XII, B1G, and ACC are automatically in, unless they played more than one FCS team.

- Non-undefeated Conference Champions are NOT automatically in.

- Look at all the facts. If a team beat another team who was missing a couple of key guys and now those key guys are back, don't hold it against the team that lost. If there was a controversial call in a game, don't hold it against the victim.

- Don't worry about potential rematches, that would ruin the whole system.

It's hard to just ignore wins, regardless how they happened.

What about teams that don't even win their division? Should that be considered?

12 conference champs
4 at large bids

the bcs formula can determine the 4 at large bids. these would be the highest 4 to finish outside of the conference champs.

this way, ALL games are extremely important no matter who you are playing. AND, each conference has a chance to make the playoffs and pull a possible "appy st.".

Agree, no one could complain about being left out with 16 teams.

disagree. No need to put all these stipulations that decrease your leeway when deciding.

I think they should keep using the BCS formula and take the top 4 teams

I don't want 16. That's just too many. I don't really want more than 6 with 2 getting a bye.

you have to let every conference champ get in to make it legit. EVERY OTHER NCAA SPORT DOES IT.

Honestly I think it should just be Conference Champions in the playoff. Unless they expand to more teams.

1) Alabama. Obviously the best team each year, and they deserve a guaranteed spot.

2) ESPN darling. They know better than us anyway.

3) Worst team in the NFL. Because Bama is good enough to beat them.

4) At large. Preferably an SEC Team.

Troll rating, anyone?

-16 Teams
- First five seeds: Conference Champions from (SEC, ACC, Big XII, B1G, PAC-12)
- Final nine seeds: At-Large Bids
- High seed hosts games until Final Four
- Final Four rotates yearly between (Atlanta, Miami, New Orleans, Dallas, and Pasadena)
- National Title Game is played in one of the cities listed above that did not host a Final Four game

A meaningless statement IMO. This just gives carte blanche for a voter to push the team they liked.

I'm fine with that

This one is pure bullshite. It just gives voters an excuse to vote their favorite team and dismiss any result they didn't expect (or predict in the preseason).
