Pimanyolis is best bet.
For all the things louisiana does well, bbq places don't seem to be one of them

i've yet to figure out why bbq places cannot make it in louisiana. They are literally everywhere else in the south except louisiana. I know they had the Shed that went to Scott, but that was a franchise and it apparently had problems... Also, with the Shed you have to like sweet.... but overall not bad. There are i think 4-5 places that do strictly bbq in the gulfport/biloxi area. There is a new one that just opened up downtown called Murky Waters, will be trying it for lunch soon.
Also... you know what else I don't understand??!! Why and the hell do you not have a damn website for your restaurant? You can't make it on facebook alone...

Big Jake's in St. Gabriel.
Only problem is that they're only open from 11 to 2 on weekdays.

I don't get it either. Cajun style BBQ is actually really good, just not a lot of places specialize in it. Johnson's in lafayette is the only barbecue I can wholeheartedly recommend.

I've always wondered this too. I lived in central arky for a summer and I swear every tiny little dot on the map town had a good BBQ joint. Yet BR has none!

Couyon's in Port Allen has some pretty damn good brisket

Wayne's BBQ is much better than anyplace mentioned so far.

Wayne's is very good, worth the drive out there

Sweet Daddy's in Covington is great!

Wayne's is also great. It is just as good as Sweet Daddy's. Where is Big Jake's.

Waynes is good, but I have found it inconsistent.
I personally like Pimanyoles.

Pimanyoles is good, but the two I mentioned are better, in my opinion. I see Big Jake's in only open during work-week lunch hours...

Smokin' Aces on Government is pretty good. Agree with Pimanyoli's and Port Allen Couyon's. David's Tiger Express in Central only does BBQ on weekends, but it's really good and worth the drive.
