Fab shop or plant build? That thing is good for about 100 years of use.

Are the grids expanded metal as the shelf on the exterior as well or something else? I could envision some cold roll rods on angle iron to give nice grill marks.

pretty sure I saw slabs of ribs in the kitchen and some other stuff. He bought enough meat that I had to ask who all is coming over!

I have no idea what you just said
eta: Ok, he said the interior grates are 9 gauge expanded metal. the exterior shelf is a lighter gauge expanded metal.
Cost: tank was free, They had to buy 1 sheet of 9 gauge expanded metal, some flat bar and some casters, the temp gauges, and high temp paint. Everything else they had around the shop.

The wood looks a little green...but will work. We expect to see pictures once the meat goes on.

he said it could certainly season for a little longer, but it will cook.

The most expensive parts are the bell caps on each end, these could be replaced with plain metal plate easily.
