ESPN literally has a webpage on their website right now with all of the major sports' insignia hovering above a rainbow and youre going to tell me that's a freakin coincidence that they are asking sexual orientation questions? Seriously?

You are reaching big time. Any adult with a functioning brain knows that asking questions about gay issues to the LSU running back is agenda filled. Blue is not even a biology major. Blue majors in LSU football...ask him questions about LSU football.

oh god, I really hope you didn't just say that

Media doesn't owe a school or a team anything. Schools/organizations need the media

Not trolling. I seriously don't understand why anyone could possibly care what a 20 year old has to say about social issues.

This also times a billion.

God knows I said some stupid arse shite when I was 20.

you must not follow any sports news

It has been a huge deal with Bryan Griner coming out and the whole deal about the NFL possibly having players coming out soon.

The topic is extremely relevant. Just because a group of 10 people on a message board think it's agenda based and irrelevant, doesn't mean people don't want to read about it

Really? What is your deal? LSU football grossed over 50 million dollars last year without the ever important "journalism" of the reveille...

The sports reporter for the Reveille has a gay rights agenda?

He's a 22-year-old senior

Not one bit.

Are you telling me that you are the same now as you were at 22?

God that's scary.

No it's not relevant...its just trash where the reporter tries to create news.

FTR...the SID apparently agrees with me...See Mettenburger.

bullshite. The media is granted access to these players by LSU. That's the reason why the advocate/TP give a heads up. They want to make sure the relationship with the school is good.

The reveille didn't give a heads up because they knew LSU would squash the question.

No...but im sure he has a "15 minutes of fame agenda". If only gay football players would be relevant right now. Im sure ESPN doesnt have it plastered all over there NFL homepage right now. I mean, that would just make too much sense right?

the only reason Mett wasn't allowed to answer is because he's the face of a top 5 program.

If I'm the SID, there is no way I'm letting him answer anything controversial, whether it be gay rights, drug testing, etc.

He has a "got ya" agenda. Gay issues just happened to be the bait that worked.

All of this, in the grand scheme of things, means jack shite. It will all be gone after the spring game this weekend, and LSU football will not take a hit whatsoever. If negative press would take a hit, then Alabama would be vilified for having thug players that mug campus students. No, Bama is known as the program that has won 3 of the last 4 crystal balls...

There is a good chance Blue will be the starting RB on that same team.

Of couse you are not. Because deep down you know that all those topics above are nothing more than jackpot questions/topics. I agree with you here
