every week, i find myself thinking...damn, i hope nbc realizes how good this show is, and gives it a decent chance.

Hannibal has been killing it in terms of ratings for NBC. I'm sure they're pretty excited about it so far. It's actually only the second show to premiere this season that improved in total viewers from the premiere to the second episode (The Following being the other)

Yea it's great news this show is doing well in the ratings because it's apparently insanely expensive to produce. NBC probably wouldn't be hesitant to pull the plug if it was doing poorly.
