I think this could be the deepest/most talented team since 2000 but it's really interesting to see what will happen.

Does one current player have to leave? If so who would be most likely? If its a younger player that helps to open up more scholarships for next year. If it's an older player then we still may have a logjam next year. It would be great if somehow we didn't need to lose anyone since all the current players are Tigers and that is something special.

The other interesting thing will be to see how JJ uses his pieces...we have a lot of really talented players but also a lot of "tweeners" - Stringer, Martin, Bridge, Mickey, etc. JJ really has an opportunity to show his coaching skill and creativity to put a heck of a product on the floor. Hope he comes through.

*Apologies for the hijack by the douche 621k5 or whatever his name is.

I wanna see how Johnny Jones uses Coleman, Hammink, and Bridgewater. Still, I'm excited to see depth on our roster. We're still a few years away from Jones' ideal roster IMO.

Yes forgot Hammink...he's kind of a tweener also. Liked some flashes I saw of him this year though.

So you're saying that the 2000 team was more talented than 06 team?

I loved the Swift/Smith funk dunk year, but 06 was a special team with a shitload of talent.

Bridge is a bigger better version of Coleman.

Hammink will won't get many minutes imo

Yeah he had his moments, but he's still learning how to play at the college level. With the addition of Bridgewater, I wonder if there isn't a real competition btw Hammink, Coleman, and Bridgewater. Seems like they're all similar in play-style.

From someone that has seen Bridgewater in person multiple times, I don't think he will be that good at the college level. The basis for his game in high school was that he "out-athleted" the smaller players he was up again. He doesn't have a good mid range jumper, nor does he really have any post moves.

I loved that run and 2006 will always have a final four appearance on 2000 but i do think overall 2000 was DEEPER and overall more talented than 2006.

No disrespect to 2006 but didn't think I was saying anything controversial. That said, 2000 beats 2006 in a 7 game series...and again that shouldn't really be a controversial statement at all.

Is it too much to ask people to put "BASEBALL" or "BASKETBALL" in the subject line? Both are written as "BBall"...... I wish they would get anchored when people do that. Thanks

Broski, I've only seen video of him but he seemed to be able to handle the ball well and of course he is very strong/athletic. Are his ball skills not as good as they looked from what I've seen?

Let's just agree that BBall or MBB = Basketball and Baseball or Men's Baseball = Baseball

Sound good?

Bball = big orange ball (see Kentucky)
Baseball = baseball (see LSU 1991, 1993, 1996, 1997, 2000, and 2009)

I've never heard anyone refer to baseball as bball. I thought it was common knowledge that bball is basketball.

I'm looking forward to next bball season with LSU.

Damn. Wish things like that could be coached and taught to a player. Waste of a scholarship I guess.

The 06 team had a great starting lineup, but 0 bench. They played like 6 guys, maybe 7. We will be playing 11 next season at least.

I guess coaches are useless on the college level if your not good straight out of high school!
