Which episode of Supernatural is this gif from?

I watched through the first 7 seasons on Netflix and even found a site for season 8 and I have yet to see this scene. Did I miss it in an earlier season? I remember there being a black and white episode in like season 2 but I'm certain that's not it.

Probably an outtake of them goofing around.

True. Didn't think of that.

It's from an earlier season. Sam's hair is still moderately short. I am guessing it is from the episode where they are forced into TV shows with Gabriel.
Looks like their faces are being forcefully contorted.

Supernatural: Season 4: Episode 5 is the black and white episode you are thinking of. Maybe that one.

Kind of looks like they are at a wedding, but I can't remember a wedding episode. At least one that was black and white.

Just looked it up, thinking it is Supernatural: Season 4: Episode 5
There was alot of over the top acting in that one with the Shape shifting classic vampire.

One of my favorite shows and gifs.
If anyone hasn't watched season 8 is up to season 1-5 standard.

Did the season 5 finale feel like a series finale to anyone

It was supposed to be one. Show runner left after that point anyway. Given the quality of the seasons after probably should have been. There have been some quality episodes here and there, but seasons 6-8 have been pretty meh.

Well...it WAS the series finale
The problem is the show was extended past its intended story arc, that's what makes seasons 6 and 7 so awkward.
But Season 8 is fantastic, mainly because the show has a clear story arc and conclusion as it aims for 10 seasons. After that, it's done in the manner of Smallville.

I guess that's a good thing since I was kind of pisssed Sam and Adam would have to stay in Hell

To be fair, I haven't watched every episode this season so far, but the ones I have seen have still been hit or miss to me.

I thought the leviathan story line worked pretty well. And Castiel's story leading up to releasing them wasn't bad as well.

It wasn't bad, it just seemed a little forced and out of place. Season 6 was definitely better than season 7 though.
