quote:
On Tuesday night, Jesuit and Chalmette played a District 9-5A baseball game at Noel Suarez Stadium. Jesuit won 4-2. It was, in many ways, an unremarkable game. But those in attendance will remember the bottom of the fourth inning for a long time.
With his team leading 2-0, Jesuit starter Cody Migliore walked leadoff man Alex Powell, who was replaced on the base paths by courtesy runner Blake Walker. Migliore threw over to first baseman Dylan Weston, who tagged out Walker for the first out of the inning. Then Migliore walked Austin Bergeron and made another pickoff move to record the second out. Finally, Migliore walked Connor Danna, and once again, he caught the runner leading off first base. Three walks, three pickoffs, side retired.
“Baseball's a great game,” Chalmette Coach Lyall Barwick said. “You can come to the park on any given day and see something you've never seen before.”

I actually once did back in little league. For some reason, I could not throw a strike for my life that day, but not a single runner passed first. The weirdest part I failed to throw a single strike the entire inning yet I completed it
Definitely the most unusual thing to happen while playing baseball. Well, either that or the time i hit a line drive into a port a potty that a guy was walking out of.

High school thing. Probably different rule everywhere but you can pinch run like every inning or some shite. Maybe only if its the catcher or varying rules by state

Reminds of playing RBI Baseball on NES. Computer would get a hit, you throw the ball away and wait for the computer to round second and throw him out at third. Worked every time.
