I'm sure if you cook it long enough you can eat it safely.

GARY, GET BACK IN THE PINEAPPLE!!

I read that they carry some kinda parasite that causes meningitis in humans. However, if you under cook pork or chicken you can get sick too. So take that for what it's worth.

Did you read they can eat the siding off the house? And stucco?

Might be good dog food.

I would be more worried about the shells popping my tires.

Wikipedia says:

"However, this snail is an important source of animal protein for West African forest-dwelling ethnic groups, and commercial farming of these snails holds great promise."

and these guys too. I have a nest of them about 100 yards off the back of the house. Love to watch them glide in the air and then go swamp hunt'n!

If those snails ever make it up to Orlando...me and my birds will feast!

One of my favorite birds. They are just cool as hell to watch. I'm not sure they eat snails but that doesn't really matter.

We just bought a lot on the Florida coast to retire on. Not your typical property, 12 acres with a 3 acre lake on it. And really facking cheap since it was a foreclosure. It wasn't really planned. When we were leaving and I was trying to decide if I'd been an idiot I saw a Swallow-tailed Kite flying across the road with nesting material. I'm not much of a believer in signs from God but that comes pretty close.
