I know it's rare for a punter to get picked, but this was thought of as a pretty good possibility, especially in 2011.

Haven't seen many mocks that go to the late rounds, so has anyone seen anything mentioning his draft prospects?

Has he even worked out for any teams? Not even sure which teams have a need at P.

Thanks for any info

Late rounds if he does.

If he could KO (like Morestead), he would definitely get picked.

Definitely could.

He is an ambidextrous punter and a very good athlete. He also is the best rugby style punter I've ever seen. In 2011 I think he put it inside the 10 yard line like 20 times.

ETA:

Won the Bama game for us with that 70 yarder too.

eta: I don't think he's a rugby style punter either. Rugby style involves the punter rolling out before the kick, and I've never seen him do that

Yeah his skill at dropping the ball with little to no roll is what makes it a possibility. But I think he was better at getting those drops in 2011.

And like I said, I don't even really pay attention to which teams would even have a need at P or if he's held any workouts to show off his skills for those teams.

Hope the best for him, but even if he doesn't get drafted, I think it's a given that he'll have a long career.

Would be cool if his name got called though.

I thought he takes steps to the side where there is less rush and he kicks it end over end sometimes to stick it deep and that made it rugby style. Its not always...

I am probably wrong though

He is an excellent punter nonetheless and should have a LOONG career in the NFL if he keeps his head on straight.

ETA:

And I think its a great idea to have a 6'3" 200 lb punter that is a really good athlete. Fakes are a genuine threat and he can break tackles, jump for high snaps, ad-lib on the run, etc.

I think he gets drafted. It will be late but there are plenty of teams that would love to get a long term punter for league minimum. There are some teams with bad long term contracts to punters. I say 7th rd.

He was projected in the 4th round...possibly to Detroit but I think he will go in the 3rd round to Dallas.
