Having issues with drainage in back yard. Can anyone recommend someone that can help me with this problem in the south BR area. Thanks.

Home depot:
-Rent (or buy) a level & rod
-Graph paper (or MS Excel using graphing function)
-Tape measure
Shovel, 6-pack, & a buddy or kid
Have fun learning a new toy. Amazing how far off your "eyeball" can be. It can be quite an eye-opener.

Really more info about the type of problem you are having and possibly some pics would help get a better idea of what you need...

What exactly are you trying to do?

OP, get a bunch of dirt, a little bobcat stand on machine, and slope your yard into your neighbors yard. Problem solved

I was thinking a shovel may be all he needs.

Man, some of you guys are such assholes. Just thought someone could recommend a person or business that does minor gutter drainage work . If you don't want to help then kiss my arse.

You want gutters to drain your backyard?

Some info on how big of a project this is may help. Some lawn/landscape companies will do small drainage work. But if the job is bigger you may need more of a dirt land leveling contractor with heavy equipment.

I don't want to do it myself. Gutters drain underground into drainage pipes underground to drain in back. Gutters backing up during hard rain. I realize the underground drainage is stopped up. I want to hire someone to fix it.

You didn't supply enough info for a decent answer and then you get arse hurt about it when more info in asked for...

Water used to stay on my patio because my sod in my backyard was high than the cement.
I manned up, grabbed a shovel, dug a shite ton of dirt up, put some catch basins with piping, ran it to the side of my house, half way down my drive way.
It was a bitch, but cost me a lot less money and works great!

Go frick yourself man. You said ZERO about some gutter bullshite in your OP. 99% of people with drainage problems don't have their yard sloped correctly. How are we supposed to know if your dumb arse didn't just forget to turn off the hose
If you can't figure out how to clean a drain, you deserve to have standing water everywhere, and then get raped on the cost of fixing it
Who's the a-hole now?

Rotor rooter should take care of that

Ah...you're dealing with a "drain" issue. "Drainage" usually refers to topographical surface grade in conjunction with soil porosity.
Yeah, sounds like a roto-rooter time. Sorry, don't know anyone to recommend over there. Though you may want to look up a handyman who will rent a rooter. Like someone else mentioned, ask a lawn service guy.
