Any news on this guy? I knew he had the legal trouble but haven't heard anything since.

Pretty sure if there was any news it would have been posted immediately so I would say no news.

Yes, probably in this case, no news is good news!

He has legal preoblems as a result of teh arrest.
However, I have yet to see any credible information he did anything illegal, immoral or fattening.
The sparse data available raises as many questions about the law enforcement officer as the alleged perp.

Mark this down as a momentous occasion. This may be the first time I've agreed with anythign nitwit has said.

I personally wish that LSU would demand a higher standard of behavior from current or prospective athletes...we no longer have to tolerate a gang-style attitude...we now are being very successful recruiting across the nation. Troubled young men have a lot of other places to attend. When there is smoke, we need to look for the fire, not just douse it out and sweep it under the rug. Personally, I wish all the best for each and everyone, but with 100+ guys to manage, let's be smart with our efforts.

Can you read? People have very plainly said that the cops might have been in the wrong. Jumping to conclusions doesn't help. What do you want the school to do, hire private investigator or security to police the recruits. Get a clue. The majority of high schools kids in general make questionable decisions. Lots of them just never get caught.

Would you please point out the gang-style behavior that we tolerate?

Regardless of his last name, I am very excited about Jefferson's future at LSU. With the way Chavis runs his defense, it is a godsend to have a strong safety who has cover skills.
We saw the big difference between Brandon Taylor (in 2011) and Eric Reid (in 2012). Having Taylor ready and able to come up and defend a slot receiver allowed Mathieu/Brooks to blitz off the edge with abandon. But with Reid, I was near panic mode every time we blitzed Eugene from his nickel position.
I was relieved when I read Jefferson is getting moved to safety. I am hopeful he can turn into another Brandon Taylor.

I say we give this kid one more shot and if he gets in trouble again kick him off. We already saw what kind of character and person of the field Jordan and this kid is getting in trouble before he even steps foot at LSU

I see your point but these are football players not choir boys. Many come from stituations with a bunch of social problems. LSU would have to get rid of current very good players on the team if they followed your standards. I have to trust Les in deciding which players he feel should have a second chance.

You cant stop them from doing anything away from the field. Some of these kids have zero trouble in their past. I had never been arrested, never had a ticket until i went to jail for a dwi. I learned my lesson and it doesnt make me a thug pos.

Better yet Phil, we could implant all incoming student athletes with a GPS microchip to closely monitor their habits, and maybe even something to control their behavior....
Get some perspective man. Kids make mistakes, even good kids. I certainly hope I am not defined by my worst moments, and believe it or not some people actually become better and then learn from their mistakes. Ill leave it to Miles to decide which risks to take.
More than that, you dont know the situation, as I can safely assume, you were neither the cop nor Ricky. Sometimes authority is in the wrong. I know its a crazy and novel thought
