The NBA season needs to be shortened from 82 games to around 60

Seriously, no one really gives a frick about the regular season after the all star break.

I think they should shorten the regular season and let the playoffs start at the same time, but just move the starting date up from late October to Christmas Day. This will also allow the games to be spaced out more, allowing for more recovery time, and no back to back games.

It sucks that we are going to miss out on seeing so many players in the playoffs because of the grind of the regular season.

I assume you mean before. And I assure you, you are incorrect either way.

I know A LOT of people that watch every Grizzlies game religously.

I think you have that reversed. Some people don't really follow the NBA during football season.

d rose blew out his ACL and kobe's achilles popped. both injuries are just unlucky for the most part

I have two solutions:

(A) Eliminate divisions and conferences and instead have a league-wide home-and-home round robin regular season. 58 games, everyone has the same SOS, take the top 12 teams for the playoffs and use the NFL format for the playoffs (best-of-7 series all the way through).

OR

(B) Keep the divisional format we have now, have a league-wide home-and-home round robin regular season, with an additional home-and-home with your divisional rivals. 66 games, nearly the same SOS, take the division champs and top-6 other teams for a 12-team playoff as described in (A).

ETA: Neither of these are going to happen, and I'm not saying they have a chance in hell. The season is as long as it is for revenue purposes, so I doubt that's actually changing anytime soon.

Baseball needs to be cut in half, IMHO.

The game itself is a bit dull at times, making it harder to watch on TV for the casual fan. Add to that the fact that they play 162 games a season and it becomes clear why the sport has lost its luster in today's world.

Anyone who wants less games does not actually enjoy the sport that much. I want as many games as possible without a serious drop in the quality of play.

Everyone likes chocolate cake...but if it's shoved down your face daily, and you know it's there daily, it can lose it's luster for some. I can't possibly get my self up for 160 games of baseball like i do football. I would wreck myself if i got into 160 games of baseball like I do the NFL. The more dollar bills in circulation, the less value.

You don't have to eat the cake every day.

I prefer having the choice of chocolate cake every day as opposed to once a week.

Baseball needs to be cut down to about 30 games. But then again baseball isn't even a sport so the players are able to play 162 games per year, not including the playoffs.

All games should be played to 100, too.

It would eliminate running out the clock after obtaining a big lead.

I'm sure you're trolling, but this is still one of the dumbest posts I've seen on the MSB.

Uhm. . . Kobe, Rondo, Ginobili, Amare, Lou Williams, Gallinari, and Granger..

And there are numerous guys who are going to be limited in the playoffs from injuries.

That's actually a really good idea. I wouldn't mind seeing that.

Maybe make it 90 or 95.
