Why are some people on here so opinionated on their music choices?

I understand that you think this dude or that dude is the best rapper or musician but I don't understand why you say "you suck" because I don't like the artists you like. Music is meant to be enjoyed and bring peace or thought to our minds to help us cope with life. There is no wrong or right answer when people ask who the best artist is at that particular genre. It is your opinion. Some of you clowns need to understand this. It is all an opinion and you know what they say..... Opinions are like buttholes, everybody got one.

Similar to the movie/tv board. There are half a dozen Eberts over there, and you have the same here. It's mainly just a few people.

Those questions are here b/c 1) This is a sports site, and 2) Americans are super competitive anyway ("All real Americans love a winner, and will not tolerate a loser"). I generally avoid "Best" or "Top 5/10/whatever" threads.
That doesn't mean you can't have discussions. There's got to be more to this board than just somebody posting "'Do The Donut' by the Twerptones is the coolest song EVAH!!!" and a bunch of people agreeing with him.

I agree with you it just pisses me off even when people say to others "I can't belive you like that shite, or "that's horrible". Whatever. It is my opinion. I respect ballerina dancers and sumo wrestlers but I would never tell someone who likes to watch them that they are stupid for watching that.

Some people (myself included) need to understand that it is not a sin to enjoy a mainstream artist/band. Even if you despise some of the commercialized singles released, some of them actually have some very good b-sides or just songs from an album that never see the light of day as far as radio is concerned. fricking record labels....
