your point is as lame as they come

How is his point lame? If Lakers had so much of this "pull" around the league, then why did they get hit with the 'basketball reasons' BS by the commish/NBA?

Actually that was some serious fricking bullshite. David Stern had no right to disallow that trade. He caved in to whiney owners of shitty franchises aka Laker haters.

spectacular retort

no matter how much influence la has in the nba, the league still wants as much of a widespread affect of star power as possible. stern knew very well that la was going after paul and d12 last summer. its a pretty fair objective, cause if they didn't, the nba would lose teams to the rich dealings of ny and la. the days of buying titles is over after this season and la knew this! there's no way in hell their loyal boosters will be apart of that crippling tax system that starts next year.

Sounds communist. Don't like. The Lakers have the best fans why shouldn't they have the best players? Bigger tv money, higher ticket prices, the most merchandising sales, etc. So because Cleveland is a shitty city that means the Lakers can't have Chris Paul? It's funny Dan Snyder used the Washington Generals analogy because that's pretty much what they are.

what if there was some type of serious violation involved and stern decided to protect la from the public calling foul! who the frick knows

I missed the game... but the Lakers have Dwight. Teams purposely foul him, so it isn't surprising if the Lakers have more foul calls in their favor.
50-16 seems way too lopsided though.....
