Is this the best Tiger baseball team?

The only measuring stick we have is the CWS. We have had some pretty good teams

I think this team is a good team,but to say the best ever is a tall order at this time of the year.They would have to win the CWS to be in that conversation.

They have the potential....but there is a long way to go to even begin to have this conversation. Lets win a Championship of some sort first.
Do you know how many times people of all different teams; all different sports, start to have this conversation only to fall flat on their faces and become some obscure footnote in history.
Our 2011 and OU 2003 football teams quickly come to mind.

Dude, I know, we had no set rotation because Ranaudo was always hurt and Matulis/Bourgeois/Ott/Ross/Rittiner couldn't hold a rotation spot.
I get that this team is much more talented and more soundly built, I'm just saying shite happens in baseball.

shite happens but that team had no pitching depth.. and the guys we relied on weren't even that good.
The bats were hot and we were winning.. then the bats went cold and we were screwed.
2013 is so deep. They can handle slumps.

This is the 29th LSU baseball team I've seen (started going to games as a frosh in 1985).
The 2013 Tigers stack up favorably against any one of the previous 28 teams from top to bottom. I see very few flaws in this team.

Wish people would shut up about this. We don't even know if they are going to win a super regional they could choke against a team like UCF. Also we don't know about the NC. Ask us in July then we can debate the history.

This team has proven that it has what may be the single most important ingredient in a winning baseball team: defensively, they are strong up the middle. Possibly stronger than I've ever seen for any Tiger team in 29 years. And that is saying quite a lot.
Barring catastrophic injury, you don't just lose that overnight. This team is special.
