legal question on buying gun from someone and concealed carry

if i buy a gun from someone and just get a bill of sale, can i carry it? how does that work? does the gun have to be registered to me or what do i need to do so im legal. gun is brand new and never been shot.

my permit will be comming in a week.. im not carrying ut until i have my license. im just asking would the gun have to be registered to me to carry it, or would a bill of sale be fine

You don't have to do any thing out of the ordinary to carry the gun. If you have a CC permit and the gun was bought legally then you're good to go.

You don't even need a bill of sale. As long as it's not stolen.

If you live in Mississippi and are buying a gun in Louisiana, you need to have it shipped to an FFL license holder.

If he is buying it in person from a private individual then why in the hell would he want to do that? Even if the law said that's the way it should be done, why in the hell would you do that?

You MUST register your new handgun!!! Send me your email and I'll give you an address to send the gun and bill of sale to so it can be registered. Also, in the future you might want to refer to a Mississippi (where you live?) board when asking legal advice from the internet's finest lawyers.
