I apologize for forgetting the name but I am considering watching it this weekend as I have heard good things from a friend of mine. Is it worth viewing?

Which one? There are like a million of them.

I am assuming House of Cards, it looks good but haven't gotten around to watching it.

I've watched the first four eps and I like it. Kind of a cross between West Wing and a thriller. It focuses on politics, but also has some journalism and lobbying angles.
Also nice to see the shot of Nationals Park in the intro.

I loved it. Seemed to have a very high production value, the episodes felt like mini movies to me.

Spacey must have been crapping stone and wood, what with all the scenery he chewed...
But it was super fun to watch.

House of Cards is a legit viewing pleasure. I watched the first episode and couldn't stop. Ruined my plans for the next day or two, but was well worth it.
