Lithuanian court freezes Hearts' assets

At the hearing in Kaunus, assets controlled by Russian-born businessman Vladimir Romanov, and his UBIG investment vehicle which controls Hearts, were seized.
A number of companies are suing Romanov, and his sister Olga Goncaruk, in an effort to recover 'large debts' jointly undertaken by the pair.
In a statement, court spokeswoman Gintare Putnikiene said: "Any sale or transfer of UBIG's shares in Hearts or its other property is forbidden."
The move comes two months after Lithuania's central bank suspended operations at Ukio Bankas, majority-owned by Romanov, citing irregularities.

No, I want the SPL to consist of stable teams. As DeadCo, Hearts, and Sevco die, the rest of Scottish football will grow. It might take about a decade before any real impact is felt, but it will happen and Scotland will be better for it.

The race for second this year is the closest in a decade. The majority of the Scottish national team is composed of non-Celtic/Sevco players. It's going to take a while, but it will happen.

I have never had a problem with Celtic... never gave a shite about the SPL to be honest. If I had to pick a club, it would be Hearts b/c my fellow Leeds supporter on this board also supports them, and this documentary about the club. But I actually can't stand Celtic now because of TN Bhoy's shtick.
On topic: I have always thought the owner of Hearts was a bit of a sleaze ball... hope Hearts get a good owner and move back up the table soon.

You really are the most delusional poster on this board. The notion that the SPL is better off without Hearts and Rangers is staggering in it`s myopic ignorance. Forget the financial well-being of this retarded League, forget the long history of Hearts and Rangers and what it means for the future of Scottish football, but surely you must realize what it will mean for Celtic F.C. You realize that the matches against Rangers and Hearts at Parkhead represent sell-outs on your schedule...to not realize what the loss of these two clubs would mean to the SPL and Scottish football you would have to be one of the dumbest fricking khunts in the history of dumb fricking khunts...
