I don't see this cat growing a garden or shooting a gun.

Supposed to be Hallelujah crab, I'm assuming. Clearly, they only employ top-notch editors.

Ha, have a few friends in those pics. Our brewclub president and his wife are playing ping-pong and another friend in the Denicola's pic.

I know typos happen, but I still maintain G&G's articles aren't that great, though visually they are excellent.

Wow. That's just embarrassing. And the "while table"? Wow.

Sure they happen, and sure they slip through on some of the best editors in some of the most respected publications. But, how the hell does something like THAT not immediately jump out at someone before they decide to post it online?

As for the articles in the mag (yeah, my wife recently subscribed), I find they often suffer from trying too hard and being a bit overly cliched. But, yes, it's visually a really nice rag.

They are a life style mag for sure, but I appreciate that. They do occasionally surprise me with an very well written article here or there. For my Southern literary fix, I turn to Oxford American.

The articles are never long enough, they miss opportunities to tell great stories. Huge cliche more about appearances and being exclusive....kind of sad for them

How, exactly? They seem to be doing quite well, circulation wise, for a publication of this type.

They may have great circulation, I just think they could do a better job with the writing. Perhaps it is due to the readers attention span short like National Geographic but great visually.

I had higher hopes for it when it launched.

Maybe I should go to the secret society at Blackberry,

Understood. Honestly, one of the reasons I love it is its brevity. I make no secret that my job has caused me to read a lot less (which is sad), but I now have no attention span for reading.

I keep thinking I should go too, but I have not yet pulled the trigger.

I like Blackberry and for all the activities going on when they do Secret Society its probably a deal.

I get the brevity thing, we live in a 140 character world now maybe I need to give in!

I agree. I still enjoy the magazine but I understand what you are saying.
