Yeah, I'm not sure I understand that. Supposedly he worked out a lot there during ST, but 2 innings of ML experience there. I also haven't seen Valbuena play second base before.

I hope the cubs can knock around Cain like the Cards did.

Carlos Villanueva might be the best hitter out of the bottom four in our lineup.

I just wished he hadn't changed his hitting stance/approach.

in case you've never seen the beauty that is carlos' swing.

Villanueva looking real sharp so far. Thrown 29 pitches through 3 innings. Retired 8 in a row.

We've really got some solid starting pitching this year. I assume Villanueva gets sent to the bullpen when Garza comes back, but with the way he has thrown the ball this year, I wouldn't be opposed to sending Feldman to the pen and leaving Villanueva in the roration.

Who misses Chris Volstad?

I'v been impressed with feldman's stuff, but not his ability to locate it or be consistent with it (whcih coudl be a temperature thing) so if he can do that i think you're right and its carlos to the pen.

Wasting these leadoff doubles (now twice in this game alone) is really frustrating.

I do, but i think Deshaies kind of sounds like bob and is a good repalcement. It took me a while to warm up to bob so i'm already well ahead of that schedule for Deshaies.

Hunter Pence with a soft line drive off the end of his bat for a base hit snaps a string of 12 straight retired by Villanueva.
