Because this is how dub step sounds to me LINK. The general consensus among respected musicians in the area concur.

Skrillex's song has Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites has so much potential but he ruins it by being ADD with it. Every 10 seconds it seems his sound board has an episode of Tourette's

well the electronic scene here is and always has been ahead.

i think its ok, its more the people who go to dubstep shows that i dont enjoy being around. The whole ragers in neon and snap backs. Ive also seem to find that people who have been listening to electronic music for a while don't like it that much while the new flock of people who follow it b/c its cool now unlike 5 years ago tend to like dubstep as well.

well having lived in europe for over a year, its not me and my friends have asked people over here at shows and festivals about it and some are like wtf is that. Even the big festivals don't have dubstep , trance, hard techno, house and hard style is big here.

Being that as it may, there is surely a big following of dubstep in Europe.

not like the states or uk, ive been to clubs, shows and festivals in different countries and have heard dubstep twice

and it was a skrillex track before a dj came on during senstation white.

we played some for the germans we had been drinking with and tailgating with all weekend at nature one and they just gave us this dumb look.

I see. I will take your word for it.

I personally don't find the music very amusing.

It just depends on what you like, there's heavy hitter shite out there that i can't really listen to and then there's more ambient stuff that isn't so in your face, which i prefer.
