Per Ken Rosenthal.

Broken elbow (non-throwing arm, obviously).

damn he must be pretty freaking brittle. the play should not have resulted in a broken elbow. he needs to drink some milk.

Wow. That starting rotation was already a big question mark.

Add to that the fact their pen is a really big issue and you have a team that will be struggling to stay in 3rd by the AS break.

They have the potential to get out of it though. If all their hitters get hot at the same time, they can win any game, regardless of the pitching.

Naw, they are amazing.

Tommy Hanson will save them. He's awesome.

That is a super freaky injury. It did not look that bad when it happened. The Angles pitching was already a question mark, this is not good (obviously). He and CJ were the only two guys you felt were rock solid. They need the back of their rotation to get real good, real quick.

Or win a lot 7-6 games.

Yeah, I was never really on the Angels bandwagon (well known), but I just don't see it in the cars when they lose their best pitcher.

I don't have much faith in Wilson to be honest, he was mediocre at best last year.

It's a good thing the Angels line up looks like a slow pitch softball team. They're going to need some runs.

You underestimate the power of the Tommy Hanson

Well if they can get 6 innings of 2 run ball out of Hanson and 5 1/3 innings of 1 run ball out of Vargas all season then those two will more than meet (or exceed) expectations

And if Chris Davis hits 100 home runs, the Orioles will win the pennant.

Out for one month. I think we can weather this. Rumors of the Angels demise are greatly exaggerated.

Jesus, are you going to be this fricking annoying in every angels thread? No one gives a shite that you do not think they are that good.

Apparently you do enough to reply.

ETA: Being right is fun, but I guess Tommy Hanson is still an ace in the making the Angels have great pitching like you told me a few months ago.

Well, you are PJ-ing up the thread.

I agree, but there is no reason to ruin every Angels thread.

When I did say Hanson was an ace? I think he will rebound and be a respectable two or three. Weaver was the ace of the staff, but I had a lot of worries about him before the season (obviously, this elbow injury is more of a freak thing).
