re: Honest Question about our defense.......

There's a lot of reasons to doubt. Last year was rough emotionally. The four game losing streak to open the season. The mini resurgence followed by the three game skid etc.

Here's what I honestly expect from the defense: better pass rush and increased turnovers. I still expect to give up quite a few yards.

re: Honest Question about our defense.......

I'm hoping for a better run defense. I mean, you know teams will get their yards passing anyway.

Receivers can come over the middle now with almost no fear. These rule changes have caused a more fast break type of offense in the league today. I guess some teams still want to run the ball more though.

If we had any type of run defense last year, we would have swept Carolina. They still aren't a very good team. I'm not sure if we'll have an answer for that QB load option they like to do but it should get a lot more interesting with Mike Shula calling the plays for them this year.

And if we can cause about the same amount of turnovers like last year, we'll be in good shape. That is one thing we actually did pretty well last year. The Saints finished #12 in takeaways. I guess when your at the bottom at just about every other category, it takes the shine off of the good things
