Only time he was out of team-issue gear (purple shorts and gray t-shirt) was when he went out to Tiger Land in his Canadian tuxedo-- denim on denim. He'd also rock the team-issue there sometimes.

You are full of shite. While at LSU as pointed out by previos poster he only wore clothes he got from the team. Has started to dress "better" while in the CFL after some teammates called him out for his clothing.

I can attest to this. For famed LSU deep snapper Wendell Julius York's wedding he asked Port City Madman what to wear. His answer "dress up like for our bus ride on away games". Pete shows up in a sports cost and LSU team issued under armor shirt. He proceeded to tend bar at the CCLA Club House the rest of the night...
