See the thread on bisque. I told BR if you had a recipe, he'd should look at yours, seriously.

Gris Gris thanks, but I don't think I posted one
That's maw maws dish only, mine would never compare.
Or maybe I just want to keep it that way.

Thanks, Gee. I didn't recall seeing one, but I figured if you had one, it would be good. You might want to get maw maw's recipe, though, for the future. I regret not getting some of my grandmothers' recipes.

I may look for it soon and post it.

Since I am not likely to every take the time to attempt to make crawfish bisque, what is your opinion about the best in BR? Mike Anderson's used to do a good job imo. Their bisque along with a stuffed potato and an order of their garlic cole slaw made for a satisfying meal...haven't been in a couple of years (bad fish experience).

I've never had any crawfish bisque in BR, so I can't say. It's been years since I've been to Mike Anderson's.
I like the version at Bon Ton Cafe in New Orleans, Pat's in Henderson and Downtown Don's in Lafayette, though occasionally, that one is inconsistent. It's hard to find good bisque. Not too many restaurants make it, probably because the stuffed heads are labor intensive, I would guess.

Thanks, I'll give Bon Ton a try. Since I am from CA and my wife is from TX, there is no home cooked bisque to look forward to.

You'll enjoy going to Bon Ton being from our of state. I think you'll like everything there better than Mike A's.
