Miralem Pjanic:

Rumors are that new Roma manager Rudi Garcia may not be too keen on keeping Pjanic.

To be honest, I have a fetish for silky smooth players so I don't really want to see Pjanic go.

On the other hand, it's tough to argue against his critics particularly when Garcia comes in saying the first step this summer is to get rid of players he thinks lack the "grit" to be champions.

At Roma, Pjanic has been full of smooth touches and some great set pieces but really never imposes himself on matches. A number of fans always criticized his "passion" from the get go.

Maybe it's better that he go to another club who's fans can get really excited and make cool youtube montages but not really see results on the pitch.

MORE GÜNDOGAN

Real Madrid will sign him this summer (and not next year as mentioned yesterday), IF Lewandowki stays at Borussia this season.

Would b the best signing of the summer. He has the potential to be one of the top MF in the world very soon.

He's a very talented young keeper but I think there are better young German keepers than him. I wonder what the fee is.

What is their obsession with terrible goalkeepers?

Celtic and Southampton have agreed to a fee for Victor Wanyama. £12m.

I read Wanyama has said no to the move, so far.

Southampton seems to have a lot to spend --as they're bidding very high on salaries --but still having trouble convincing players.

Radja Nainggolan and Osvaldo have both told reporters the past couple of days that Southampton have offered them much higher wages than any other suitors but both, so far, have said they'd prefer to go elsewhere.

yeah personal terms may be an issue. that could be a damn fine club though if some of those guys came. their academy is amazing.

€58m is a lot of money. would that be the EPL record?

Depends on the conversion of euros to pounds. Wasn't Torres 50 million pounds?
