Way too early.
But if we keep it up we can definitely make a deep run

Couple of tidbits from the chat on BA

quote:
Donnell (Baton Rouge): Aaron, big series this weekend with LSU and UK. Which team has the better pitching rotation, which team has the better offense and who do you like in the series.
Aaron Fitt: I’d give LSU the pitching edge on Friday and Saturday, but Corey Littrell might be the best Sunday starter in the nation, so UK gets the edge in that one. I do like LSU’s offense better — that unit is fearsome right now, with speed, power and depth. LSU is really rolling right now, and I do like the Tigers in that series.
quote:
Jordan (New orleans): Do you think Alex Bregman will win freshman of the year?
Aaron Fitt: Yes I do. He’s hitting .442 at a major program, slugging over .600, and playing a strong defensive shortstop — as a freshman at LSU, with all the pressure that comes along with that. The guy is just a superstar.

I'll go ahead and say frick Aaron Fitt. 5 seed..please... he has Oregon St and CSF ahead of us. I know it's early but he is trolling.

I can make cases for UNC and Vandy being ahead of us...but come on Oregon St. They just lost 2 out of 3 to San Diego (unranked).

I was gonna click on the link but I see it's not worth it

If it's a projection, it makes a lot of sense to put Vandy ahead of LSU. Their remaining SEC schedule is considerably easier, giving them a better chance at taking the regular season title. that doesn't solidify them as a higher seed, but the projection is logical.

Tap the brakes a bit, friend.

You ladies are so sensitive. Projection seedings =/= power ranking. You have to take into account what everyone has remaining on their schedule. Oregon State will easily win the pac 12. It will be a race in the SEC with 3 or 4 teams finishing within a game or two of each other.

yeah people are really getting upset at a national seed projection?

I'm not getting upset, I just think Baseball America in general is shite. The rankings they put our are always biased towards the ACC and they are known for that.

While I would of liked to see LSU with a higher seed, I did at least like that these projections didn't have VT hosting a regional. Besides as long as we are a national seed it's all good.

Oh I agree. I just think it's funny to see the general reaction on here.

Yep. Every year. Then the overrated ACC always chokes like whoever sucks Serge Ibaka.

When was the last time the ACC even won the CWS. I think Miami was the last team, but weren't they Big East at the time?

That was 1956, Wake Forest. Miami wasn't in the ACC when they won it last.

I think its a good projection, we have a tough finish, and everyone is gunning for us. We are going to lose a few series IMO.
