Thief games were so absolutely awesome. Ahead of their time in many ways. Will love this too.

Thief games are the main reason why I think the Assassin's Creed franchise sucks. One does stealth right the other one is crap.

I think Assassins Creed abandoned the "stealth" aspect of their game somewhere along the line, and they are probably better off for it.

I don't like steath game play, it's fine in small doses but as a game it's just not for me.

This. I think people that don't like AC are the people that expect it to be completely recon the entire time. That's not the direction they took. I personally love counter-combat way more than stealth assassination. Don't get me wrong, It's a great feeling leaping from a branch onto and unsuspecting target, but parrying and dodging are just as satisfying.

Honestly that's a good assessment of why I don't like it, but when the original game was being marketed, they highlighted stealth mechanics I had never seen a game before that were awesome and then when you actually played it it was mostly face to face combat.
