Walking Dead: Survival Instinct...anyone play it?

Just looking at some reviews and it looks laughably bad. Like one of worst games of 2013 bad. Did anyone end up playing this thing? Looks like just an obvious cash-in on the Walking Dead brand.
The episodic verion from TellTale was great IMO. I may give it another play in the future, not that I expect much to change, but I'd like to see differnt reactions and what happens when choosing to save different people.

Yea I have read some of the stuff people have posted on Reddit about it. I might torrent it just to see how bad it is.
It was just a cash grab by AMC and Activision. They pumped it out in no time.
I can't wait for Episode 2 from Telltale games for the other TWD game.

As in a sequel? The first "game" had 5 episodes. You can actually buy it as a packaged game instead of a download now I think, thought I don't know why you would since they have Episode 1 free and the rest half off. If they are making a sequel, I may hold off at first to see if they do something similar

Yea a sequel. They were calling it episode 2 in an article I read yesterday but it's in the works for sure.

same here. i wish they would do a continuous series for some games like this. if they're good at story telling, i'll throw my money at it. but "season 1" of the walking dead game was just pure amazing. hopefully they'll be more episodes in the 2nd series. one per month or every other month.

Ive watched some playthroughs online and its look terrible. The graphics look horrible and the overall gameplay looks like it was thrown together in a rush. The linear gameplay is just not my style. If it were a more open world style I would probably play it but after watching the videos of it and the people complaining about it I think I'll pass.

Check out State of Decay. It should be coming out soon for Xbox Live Arcade and is an open world/sandbox style zombie survival game. Very similar to DayZ but the initial release wont have co-op or online play but its a step in the right direction and they said they would release an online version at a later date.

Yeah I saw that one a while back. I'm sure I will get it but the lack of co-op curbed my excitement for it a bit. Still looks fun though

Yeah I played it. Took about 6 hours to beat.
The wife and kiddos would never beat it, but I get games like that for them.

If you're good at games, it's kind of weak. If you have family playing that likes the show and isn't used to a fps, they'll find it difficult.
Was worth the money to me for the fam. If it was just me playing, it would have been a ripoff.
