Is this Jim Beam still good?

I had reason to use a stadium blanket which comes in a case so that you can use it as a seat cushion with the blanket in it. Anyway, I'm taking out the blanket and wrapped inside it is an opened 750ml bottle of my buddy Jim Beam.
There's a couple of issues however. One is that it's a plastic bottle, and the other is that I don't know how many years it's been open and in that blanket. It could be five, ten, or possibly even slightly longer.
Is it still drinkable or should I toss it? Even if it is consumable, I'm almost assuming that the taste might be off.

We're talking about maybe $15 worth of liquor

Was it good in the first place??? If you mean "is it safe?" , then yes you'll be fine

It's Jim Beam...why risk it? Throw the bottle out & go to the nearest gas station & ask the guy/gal behind the counter for a fresh unopened bottle, hand him or her a $20 & buy some lottery/powerball tickets with the change!

Damn with the Jim Beam hate. I like Jim Beam. After many years and many tries the only thing I think that mixes better with Coke is Maker's Mark.

You aren't supposed to mix bourbon.

It's perfect, drink it up. May have to cut it with a bit of water to get it cocktail ready, but you could always just shoot it straight.

I once drank a very old bottle of bourbon that I dug out of a case in my dad's attic. Due to heat and improper storage the cork had shrunk allowing some evaporation. Liquor stamp was still intact. Had to be up there for Yeeeaaaarrrrsssss.....
I really enjoyed the bourbon.
ETA: It was Old Forrester.

It may be the best Beam you have in a long time.
Try it out over an ice cube.

I like it too.
I did a blind taste test with somre friends.
We had JD (I know-not bourbon), Makers, Woodford, Beam, and one other (can't remember)
Beam came out 1st or 2nd with everyone.

Thanks guys. I honestly didn't know how it might keep in the plastic. If it were glass, I wouldn't have even questioned.
I didn't want to simply toss it because I was taught that there are starving alcholics in Africa.

You could always give to a homeless guy. "Sorry dude, I don't have any money. How bout half a bottle of Jim Beam instead?"
Wipe your prints off though so you don't get sued.
