I think the area can support the two without a problem.

They just better be on their game if they expect to get business from CCL and Santa Maria crowd. Word spreads fast, and they are the new kid on the block.

Oh and why all the hate for St. Amant business owners?

Yeah, no way a store out of St Amant could compete with a store like Leblanc's.

Leblanc's is all fancy

I guess he doesn't know that the owners of LeBlanc's hail from Sorrento.....an even smaller community than St. Amant.

How many supermarkets does Leblanc's have?

How many supermarkets does Murry's have.

And yes I know the people of the area, i was born and raised around Lake Martin / Galvez.

So why all the hate for their new store?

Also, the Alexanders own other businesses in addition to Murray's. I think they are very successful in their business endeavors and I hope this one is successful also.

Agree with you lsumom, really excited to have it coming to the area. For those talking about calandros, traffic in that area is awful a lot of times, i usually only make it there on saturdays to buy beer or steaks. I don't see the 2 really competing to to much.

No hate.

Hope they survive.

We can revisit this thread in a year.

Peace

My Pale ale just became ready. Still needs a week or 2 to smooth out a little.

It's more of an Extra Pale Ale. 52 IBU's, 6.3% abv.

Just got my ingredients for my blackberry wheat. Will brew that in a couple weeks.

yeah, that was just a veiled request for you to start a homebrew thread....

Wanted to walk around, but didn't look like they were wanting that.

Yesterday around lunch, I walked in, grabbed a buggy and was putting produce in the buggy before anyone stopped me and told me they weren't open yet.

Yeah, I was close to doing the same. Finnally asked someone and he said the girl at the door would know.

Prolly about to go that way. The wife wants to window shop.

Haha, same thing they said yesterday.

Imagine it is frustrating for them.
