Is there a fricking point to the disguise system or what? I mean, Jesus, it's completely freaking worthless, which is a bit of a problem in a stealth/assassination game.

The only use is in one mission when you dress as a barber to knock out that one guy as he sits down for a haircut

Yeah I totally agree. People will spot you no matter what happens . It makes sense that some groups would recognize 47 because he is disguised as part of a small group, but why the hell do these huge mercenary groups spot you in the dark?

Not only that, but they'll spot you from like 50 feet away. Another issue is the shooting mechanics. Frankly, they suck because of how small and linear the map design is. Any firefight you get into is basically point blank.
I was expecting more from this game.

Need to use certain disguises intelligently, know when to swap, and make use of that instinct non-sense. Disguises are not as useful as previous titles but you can still make use of them.

Yeah, but it's annoying when I make a clean take-down, swap into a cop's uniform and suddenly start getting noticed by cops 15ft feet away. The detection distance is way too high for such small maps.

Unless you manage to get a unique disguise that won't be noticed (chef/barber/etc) it sucks dealing with the eye of sauron watching you wherever you go.

the only section I recall literally having no use for disguises was that part going through a tunnel before you raid dexter industries factory-thing. I never went through the level again and may have been able to do better, but it was so cramped with no alternative disguises I could find that I ended up just run n gunning.

That and inside Dexter industry when you had to get rid of the peg legged scientist. I stretched out the awareness indicator getting past this one fricking guy who doesn't patrol and doesn't get distracted.

soo is the game any good? Sounds like the main aspect of the game isn't done too well?

There are some moments that make it worth it.

Its a decent buy for the sale price.

Every professional recognizes every other professional in his field even at a glance. You've obviously never had a real job.

All while mumbling
and
quote:
who is that guy
and
quote:
where have I seen him before
Posted on 4/3/13 at 12:33 pm to sbr2
Hey, wasn't that guy on Deadwood?

Yep, even when they're surrounded by tons of other civilians...
Shut up, you fricking blowhard.
ETA: Unless I missed a dose of sarcasm, and if that's the case, then carry on good sir.

If you were familiar with my employment history, you would know that any reference I make to a "real job" must be a joke.

Also, how the hell do you stand up straight, and walk normally?

Every level I attempted went like this:
1. Go for silent assassin rank
2. Get spotted
3. Restart
4. Go for silent assassin rank
5. Get spotted
6. Kill everyone
