The almost Perfect Game is being used to trash the Astros more than they've already been before the season started. So they're riding that shammy as long as they can. Like they said on M&M this morning, the Rays get no-hit once a month it seems. A no-hitter is more of an accomplishment for the pitcher than it is a failure of the offensive side of the ball, IMO.

What about the Marlins? They have 1 guy that can hit a HR and he's completely miserable in Florida. They have a owner that doesn't care and really, they have no forward plan.

Yeah, I'm probably mad. The Marlins are worse than the Astros, yet, the Astros get all the publicity about where their organization stands.

Also, my rage-o-meter steadily climbs because of Chris Carter. I'm being told to be more patient with him. I'll try.

ahh a conspiracy against the Astros. I see it now. Bud, MLB, and ESPN all working together to tear down the Astros organization. it's all coming together now.

I've seen it.

Not as much as the Astros are singled out, IMO.

I'm sorry. Where did I say anything about a conspiracy?

Cain last year

The negative press surrounding the Astros is mostly uninformed and borderline stupid as it's obvoius they have a clear plan to rebuild but 2 perfect games against you in 10 months is embarassing.

Had the game been played Monday night instead of last night, I think things would have gone differently. Having all the momentum from Sunday would have helped.

You're right, though. The Astros take a lot of crap for their $25M roster, but like we all ask the haters, "Why spend money to get from worst in the league to still below .500?" The Marlins will be unloading guys to get the rebuilding process going and I'm sure the same will be said about them.

But there's only one. Almost only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.

I don't hate on the Astros. BTW, their new uniforms are sharp.

Huh? I think you may be suffering from regional bias.

Derp you had. 14k, perfect game performance thrown against you last year

And were an out away from a 14k PG last night.

People are going to talk about a PG that was broken up with 2 outs in the 9th just as much as a PG. Especially a performance so dominant.

Eh. 2 completely different seasons and 2 completely different rosters.

Not that big of a deal.

No, not a big deal in the scheme of things but I was certainly excited when Marwin got that hit

The Astros are singled out because they might be historically bad.

The Marlins are singled out because they have completely inept (and borderline corrupt) ownership.

It's a little different, I think everyone acknowledges that the Astros at least have a direction and that they are rebuilding. Everyone also seems to acknowledge that Loria is a cheap bastard and fleeced Miami and the fans.

Considering Cain's performance was already being called the most dominant PG ever, I can only imagine what Yu's would be called
