Saints get him: he's awesome

It's only a base salary of 1.35 million (worth up to 3 million with incentives). No guaranteed money either.

Both the niners and saints must have been low balling.

Overall, that's a great high reward / low risk addition at the price.

False.

in my opinion anyway.

I wouldn't have been all that thrilled had the Saints got him.

Brother Martin vs Newman scrimmage September 1994...there is a reason he isn't as good as Peyton...and it started that day.

49er fans - it looks like Nnamdi will be competing with Tarell Brown / Culliver for the 2nd spot. He will be on the field in nickel dime sets and Carlos Rodgers will still slide to the slot.

This fills a need for a larger bump and run style CB after the Falcons and Ravens WRs abused our CBs last post season.

Not sure if you are even serious and i realize this is not at all related to the thread but, come on.

Eli beat Brady twice for both super bowl rings.

Peyton beat Rex Grossman.

Rex Grossman.

Rex Grossman.

And lost big to Drew Brees.

Dude it's not even close.

Eli is under the most inept coach in the league. Coughlin defines mediocrity and Eli was still able to snag two from Brady who would have been sitting at the table with Bradshaw right now.

They're actually being reasonable.

For such little coin and term he would have to be a pretty big bum to not warrant the move. I don't think he's old Nnamdi but that doesn't mean he's a turd. His year in that system will make it very clear if Philly was an aberration that happens when an OL coach gets put in charge of a defense or the new status quo.

If he does turn into a star again I think it'll only be a one-year stay though. SF has to be frugal with that roster and Kaepernick getting paid coming up.
