I'm at least 400 miles from both cities. Why in the frick do I get blacked out? Makes no damn sense, IMO.

Can you help me make sense of this? TIA

Team Blackout Areas: Print is small

Most likely due to team blackout territories. Many of these have overlaps.

what is the point of having telecasts blackout? is it so they have to watch their commercials?

Well If you dont have Comcast in Houston you cant watch the Astros, Rockets, or Dynamo for free. They are trying to make a deal with other providers to fix that and if you type in CSN Houston in google they have a petition to get it on all providers. I live in Houston and have DirecTV and i cant watch the games
